Research by HighWire's Dan Kershaw is highlighted in New Scientist article: 'Netting the lingo that will set the world alight'.

Dan Kershaw and his supervisor, Matthew Rowe, have developed software that charts the popularity of words used in Twitter and Reddit posts, such as bootyful, cyw (coming yhour way) and scrims. The work will be presented at the Web Search and Data Mining Conference in San Francisco.
