My interests are as follows

Community wellbeing and data visualisation to effectively communicate complex dynamic information. http://highwire-dtc.com/rachelk/FutureVille.html

Improving physical performance through digital feedbackhttp://highwire-dtc.com/rachelk/DreamDancer.html

I have recently finished my PhD http://highwire-dtc.com/rachelk/Techno-Quilt.html and presented part of this research 'http://di.ncl.ac.uk/publicweb/craftinginteractivesystems/Keller.pdf' at the CHI (Computer Human Interaction) conference in 2013

My PhD was in two parts. The first was about what could be learnt about strong local communities. To do this I followed two local quilting groups. The second part was the design and making of an Interactive Quilt. When any of the twelve patches of the quilt are scanned with a suitable computer/mobile they will reveal their hidden digital stories. I used the quilt to explore how textiles and technology can enhance digital skills and provide an enriched interactive experience, strengthen communities and provide a platform for creative experimentation.

Previously I was a consultant, employee and business owner specialising in training, organisational development, recruitment and psychometrics. I worked across most sectors - public, private and third. Additionally I founded and managed a performing arts organisation.
