School of Computing and Communications
The School of Computing and Communications is the home of Lancaster’s world-class research in computer science and communications systems. Currently the School comprises around 40 academic staff, 400+ students and around 120 researchers. The School is proud to be a world-class research facility consistently receiving top ratings in research and teaching assessments.
LUMS is a triple-accredited, world-ranked management school, consistently among the UK's top five. Lancaster is among the few leading business schools to combine excellence in research with a student-centred campus, and a full spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD and executive programmes. Leadership programmes for multinational companies and outreach provision for SMEs are of equal importance to their mission.
Imagination is an open and exploratory design-led research lab at Lancaster University, conducting applied and theoretical research into people, products, places and their interactions. Imagination work with a variety of organisations to provide fresh perspectives on real-world issues and facilitate innovation. Imagination offer Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD study opportunities. All their staff are active researchers with extensive expertise in teaching
Our performance in successive research assessment exercises has placed Lancaster in the top 10 universities in the UK and this is reflected in an increasing portfolio of regional, national and international research partnerships that advance core disciplinary knowledge and address key societal issues.
