Digital Economy CDT Network Presentations, 22 October 2015.

Please come and listen to the presentations by Digital Economy CDT Network Manager, Felicia Knowles and Network Social Media Advocate, Chris Carter. Felicia will giving advice on DEN funding available to individual students and the CDTs.

Felicia Knowles will be talking about opportunities for DEN funding, what grants are available both to the CDT and to individuals, this can be for events, e.g. workshops, of any size. She will also talk about funding for displays at the Digital Catapult Centre and ideas to make this a more dynamic space.

Chris Carter (CaSMa Research Fellow, Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute) is visiting all of the Network's CDTs in 2015/16 to talk with students about using social media to elevate the profile of both their research and reputation as a researcher. Chris’ sessions are intended to be interactive and informative, covering a range of topics from potentially useful sites to managing personal-professional boundaries and communicating research to non-academic audiences. A core aim of the session is to provide an opportunity for CDT members to share their own experiences of using social media as a PhD researcher, so the only prerequisite is a willingness to discuss any success stories (or #epicfails) of your own! If you would like to get in touch with any questions about the session, please contact Chris at christopher.carter@nottingham.ac.uk.

All DEN CDT colleagues are welcome to attend.
